HALIFAX, Jan. 23, 2019 /CNW/ - Atlantic Canadian journalists are reminded to submit their newspaper, magazine, radio, television, online stories and images to the 39th Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs).

The deadline for entries is midnight Friday, February 1, 2019, except for Hall of Fame nominations which is the end of February.  New categories include; Excellence in Digital Journalism – Breaking News/Daily and Excellence in Digital Journalism – Enterprise/Long Form.

Panels of judges from across Canada review the entries and select three finalists from each category. Finalists will be announced in early April and the gold and silver awards will be presented at a gala event and awards show on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.
