HALIFAX, April 5, 2018 /CNW/ - The two Masters of Ceremonies for the 2017 Atlantic Journalism Awards will be Wendy Metcalfe, Editor-in-Chief/Director of Content at Brunswick News, Saint John, NB, and Martine Blanchard, host of L'heure de pointe Acadie on Radio-Canada Acadie, Moncton, NB. This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Halifax Harbourfront Marriott Hotel.
Prior to joining Brunswick News, Wendy was the Assistant Managing Editor at the Toronto Star. She made history before joining the Star when she became the first woman to hold the role of Editor-in-Chief at the Toronto Sun and Ottawa Sun. While at the helm, Wendy was also named one of the top 10 leading women to watch in media across North America by prominent industry publication, Editor & Publisher.
La carrière de Martine en radio-télédiffusion a commencé il y a 20 ans. D'abord animatrice d'une émission jeunesse à la télévision, elle a ensuite cumulé de l'experience dans une multitude de rôles tant à la radio qu'à la télévision de Radio-Canada Acadie. Elle est à la barre de l'émission du retour pour les provinces atlantiques depuis 4 ans.
