AJAs Announces Workshops

HALIFAX, April 3, 2018 /CNW/ - The Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs) will present a series of professional development workshops and a panel on the future of journalism in Atlantic Canada, during the day on April 28, 2017, at the Halifax Harbourfront Marriott Hotel.

Workshop presenters have been chosen for their expertise to offer current insight and hands-on learning in the areas of story-telling in a digital age using multiple platforms, legal issues affecting journalism, technical news photo skills for mobile journalists, and brand and social media decision-making for journalists.

Following the workshops a panel of managing editors and senior journalists will discuss the future of journalism in Atlantic Canada.

The workshops and panel will run from 9 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Registration is $40.00 and includes lunch and break refreshments. Students are $20.00.

The workshops are made possible with the support of Department of Canadian Heritage.

The AJAs gala diner and awards show will follow in the evening at the same location.
