Warner & Brewer to MC AJAs

HALIFAX, Feb. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Robert Warner, Editor-in-Chief of Brunswick News, Saint John, New Brunswick, and CBC Moncton Information Morning Host Jonna Brewer will be the Masters of Ceremonies for the Atlantic Journalism Awards. This year's 31st Atlantic Journalism Awards gala dinner and awards event will be held at the Delta Fredericton on May 5.

Robert Warner is an award-winning journalist and began his career with his own Ottawa startup in 1987. He later joined the Ottawa Citizen as Night News Editor, became the City Editor and then managing editor in 2007. Since January, 2011, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of Brunswick News newspapers, in New Brunswick.

Jonna Brewer began her career at CBC Radio and has worked as an editorial assistant, reporter, editor, director and executive producer. She is now the host of Information Morning in Moncton.

Finalists for the Atlantic Journalism Awards will be announced in early April. Winners will be presented with the gold and silver awards at the gala dinner and awards event. A symposium on journalism education will also be held during the day on May 5.
