Deadline Set For AJAs Entries

HALIFAX, Oct. 28 /CNW/ - The deadline for entering the 2010 Atlantic Journalism Awards has been set for Monday, January 31, 2011.  Entries will be accepted from journalists and news organizations in all media, including newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online.  The AJAs will also accept nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented annually to an individual who has dedicated a career to journalistic excellence in Atlantic Canada.

Specific category definitions for the 29 awards can be reviewed at www.AJAs.ca.  The rules for entering and the entry format are under review and will be announced shortly.

The gala dinner and awards ceremony will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.  Professional development workshops will also be held during the day.
