AJAs Announces Finalists Next Tuesday

HALIFAX, April 1 /CNW/ - The Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs) will announce the 2009 finalists in its thirty journalism categories next Tuesday, April 6, 2010. The AJAs received over 400 entries from print, radio, television, and online journalists for the annual competition. Panels of judges from coast to coast screened the entries and have made their selections based on journalistic excellence.

Gold and silver awards will be presented to the finalists at a gala dinner and awards event to be held May 8, 2010 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.

Professional development workshops will also be held during the day on May 8.
