AJAs Deadline Fast Approaching

HALIFAX, Jan. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Atlantic Canadian journalists are reminded that the absolute deadline for submissions to the 36th Atlantic Journalism Awards is midnight on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Entries are welcomed for 28 different categories. Journalists are invited to submit their print, radio, television, online stories and images for the consideration of independent panel of judges from the Canadian journalistic community.

Category descriptions and other information can be found at www.AJAs.ca. The fully digital contest entry system is available at www.ajasonline.org, along with the regulations and judging guidelines.

Entries are required to have been published or broadcast in an Atlantic Canadian medium during 2016, and entered no later than the submission deadline of Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Panels of judges from across Canada will review the entries and select three finalists from each category. Finalists will be announced in early April and the gold and silver awards will be presented at the gala reception and awards show on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the new St. John's Convention Centre.
