HALIFAX, Sept. 26, 2016 /CNW/ - The Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs) welcomes the public to join us to celebrate excellence in journalism from Atlantic Canada at this year's Atlantic Journalism Awards Gala Awards Reception in St. John's, NL next May.

This year's AJAs in the new St. John's Convention Centre we'll honour the best in journalism from Atlantic Canada for 2016, with a reception, entertainment, and awards presentations at 6 PM on May 6, 2017.

The AJAs will host an after-party with live music and dessert at the new JAG Boutique Hotel just a step away from the awards reception.

Tickets will be available in the coming months. Journalists are invited to submit their best work of 2016 beginning on December 1 at WWW.AJAs.CA .
