Shapiro keynotes AJAs/CNW Atlantic Journalism School Symposium

HALIFAX, April 17, 2012 /CNW/ - The Atlantic Journalism Awards has announced that Ivor Shapiro will be the keynote speaker at the AJAs/CNW Symposium on Journalism Education in Atlantic Canada. The Symposium will take place during the day of the 31st Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs), at the Delta Fredericton on May 5. The Symposium will examine today's journalism programs and look ahead to new journalism skills.

Shapiro is the Chair and Associate Professor of Ryerson University's School of Journalism. He is also a former contributing editor of Saturday Night magazine, Chatelaine magazine, Toronto Life, The Walrus, Mclean's, Today's Parent and The Globe and Mail's Report on Business Magazine, among others.
