Hanomansing is AJAs guest speaker

HALIFAX, March 13, 2012 /CNW/ - The Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJAs) is pleased to announce that CBC TV's national reporter, Ian Hanomansing, will be the guest speaker at this year's Atlantic Journalism Awards. The 31st AJAs will be presented at the Delta Fredericton on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

Hanomansing  grew up in Sackville New Brunswick and began his broadcast news career at CKDH in Amherst. He combined his university studies with radio, working at CKCW and CBC in Moncton while attending Mount Allison and CHNS in Halifax while studying at Dalhousie University. He joined CBC TV in Halifax in 1986 and has worked as a reporter and anchor. In 2008, Ian won a Gemini Award for Best News Anchor.
